Last month, I had the privilege of delivering a meal box to an elderly man living alone. When he saw the warm food, he didn’t just smile—he stood a little straighter. To stem this crisis, we launched our One-Day Meal Program, serving fresh, nutritious, cooked afternoon meals to over 500+ elderly and physically challenged individuals daily, regardless of their faith or background.

Every religion and moral code places a profound duty on us to honor, care for, and shield our elders. Yet, thousands of senior citizens across Karachi, Pakistan, are left to fight starvation, illness, and crushing isolation entirely alone.

Our Field Findings & Direct Action

We personally surveyed 2,000 elderly individuals in Karachi, Pakistan, struggling without basic human amenities. A heartbreaking number are completely destitute; others have been cast out on the streets by their own families. To stem this crisis, we launched our One-Day Meal Program, serving fresh, nutritious, cooked afternoon meals to over 500+ elderly and physically challenged individuals daily.

The Critical Realities Our Elders Face:

• • Severe Malnutrition: Without vitamins and healthy calories, advanced age quickly invites agonizing, preventable physical decline.
• • Mental Health Crisis: Deep depression and profound abandonment frequently spiral into severe psychotic and cognitive disorders.
• • Severe Social Isolation: Stripped of family units, they are cut off from essential human contact, love, and standard social interactions.
• • A Need for Company: True care goes far beyond clinical support. Our elders do not deserve to be treated as a societal burden; they need presence, conversations, and genuine emotional attention.
